I have been with Heaven Sent since May of 2016. I love what I do because I love being around dogs and they make me happy! I have been around dogs most of my life but I love all animals. I'm a retired early childhood educator. I'm married with three adult children and two grandchildren. I also have two dogs, Javier, a 15 year old Chihuahua, Poppy, an 8 year old Yorkie mix. I also have Leo, a 2 year old Blue Point Siamese and Ruby, a 5 year old guinea pig. All of my pets other than Ruby are rescues. I have been a foster home for Northern Illinois Pug Rescue. I have been a volunteer with C.A.R.E. Adoption Center in Skokie for 20 years. Between C.A.R.E. and pug rescue, I have probably fostered close to 40 dogs in my home. While I don't have any training certificates, I have gone through many hours of training with C.A.R.E. With C.A.R.E., I'm in charge of the can donation program that you may see in many stores throughout Evanston, Skokie, and nearby suburbs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, gardening, watching movies, bike riding, sewing, and yoga!
